Teen Substance Check

CRAFFT 2.1+N (for adolescents)
⏱ 2–3 min 6 questions Free · Private

About this check

The CRAFFT is the most widely used substance-use screener for adolescents. The name is from the items: Car, Relax, Alone, Forget, Family/Friends, Trouble. Two or more "yes" answers is a positive screen and usually means it is worth talking to a doctor or counsellor.

Important: This screen works best if you answer honestly. Your results are not stored on anyone else's device — they stay with you. A positive screen is a signal to talk to someone you trust or a health professional, not an accusation.

What your score means

Low-risk screen · score 0–1

Your score is below the CRAFFT cutoff of 2. This suggests substance use (if any) is not currently at a level that most clinicians would flag as concerning.

Positive screen · score 2–6

Your score is at or above 2 — the CRAFFT cutoff that suggests a fuller conversation is worthwhile. This does not mean you have a substance-use problem; it means the pattern is one worth paying attention to.
