Stress Check

PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale)
⏱ 3–4 min 10 questions Free · Private

About this check

The PSS-10 asks about how stressed you have felt in the last month — specifically, how often things have felt unpredictable, uncontrollable, or overloading. It is the most-used stress measure in research.

Important: Stress is not itself a diagnosis. This test gives a rough sense of where you sit compared to the general population. High scores can raise the risk of mental- and physical-health problems if sustained, so they are worth taking seriously.

What your score means

Low stress · score 0–13

Your perceived-stress level is in the low range. Things may feel hard at times, but you are largely feeling in control.

Moderate stress · score 14–26

Your perceived-stress level is in the moderate range. Many working adults sit here. It is not a crisis, but sustained stress at this level over months can wear you down.

High stress · score 27–40

Your perceived-stress level is in the high range. This level of sustained stress is associated with burnout, sleep disruption, mood changes, and physical health problems.
