Depression, Anxiety & Stress Check
DASS-21 (Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale — 21 items)
About this check
The DASS-21 is a 21-question scale that measures three related but distinct patterns of negative emotion: depression, anxiety, and stress. Each subscale has 7 items. Scores are doubled to match the original DASS-42 cutoffs. The combined result gives a useful picture of what you are carrying overall.
Important: This is a screener, not a diagnosis. The DASS-21 is helpful when you are not sure whether what you feel is more depression, more anxiety, or more stress — the three overlap but respond to different kinds of support.
What your score means
All subscales in normal range · score 0–2
No subscales reached the "above normal" cutoff. The combined picture is within typical range.
One or more subscales elevated · score 3–21
At least one of depression, anxiety, or stress reached a level above the DASS-21 "normal" cutoff. The facet breakdown below shows which.
