Autism Check — In-Depth
RAADS-14 Screen (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale — short)
About this check
The RAADS-14 is a short autism screener for adults that asks about patterns both now and when you were younger. It covers three areas: social awkwardness, mentalising (reading others' thoughts and feelings), and sensory-motor patterns. It was designed to reduce missed cases in adults.
Important: This is a screener. The RAADS-14 does not diagnose. A higher score adds support for a full assessment; a lower score, particularly in someone who masks, does not rule autism out.
What your score means
Below threshold · score 0–13
Your score is below 14 — the cutoff the RAADS-14 uses to flag probable autism in adults. This makes autism less likely on this screen, though it does not rule it out, particularly for people who mask.
Consistent with autism · score 14–42
Your score is at or above 14. In the validation studies, most autistic adults score above this cutoff while most non-autistic adults do not. This supports considering a full autism assessment.
